Issue:
The plastic sheathing on the throttle cable could melt due to incorrect routing. This could cause the throttle to stick in the open position.
Safety Risk:
If the throttle sticks in open, an operator may be unable to stop the vehicle. This could create the risk of a crash.
Corrective Actions:
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled vehicles and contact an authorized John Deere dealer for a free inspection and if necessary repair. The company is contacting all known purchasers directly.
