Transport Canada Recall - 2019370 - VERMEER

Issue:
Certain vacuum excavator dual-axle trailers may be missing certain lights and reflectors. This includes clearance lamps, reflex reflectors and side reflex reflectors. Also, the trailers may not have the required amount of reflective tape on the sides and rear. Canadian regulations require trailers to have these lights and reflectors.

Safety Risk:
A trailer with missing lights and reflectors is less visible to others and could create an increased risk of a crash.

Corrective Actions:
The company will notify owners by mail and supply the necessary parts and instructions. Owners will be instructed to take their trailer to a dealer to add the required reflective tape, lights and reflectors. The dealer will also install a rear lower chassis extension.
