Issue

Issue: On certain trucks, an airline for the brake system could rub against the ride height control valve linkage. This could cause damage to the airline, causing it to leak. An airline leak could result in reduced brake effectiveness. Safety Risk: Reduced brake effectiveness could cause an increase in stopping distance and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their truck to a Daimler Trucks of North America authorized service facility to install a new bracket for the height control valve.
