Issue

Issue:
The compliance label on certain travel trailers lists the wrong Cargo Carrying Capacity and Gross Vehicle Weight Ratings (GVWR). The label incorrectly lists the GVWR as 11,103 lb. (5,036 Kg) when it should list 9,755 lbs (4,425 Kg). The label also incorrectly lists the Cargo Carrying Capacity as 3,296 lb. (1,495 Kg) when it should list 1,804 lb. (818 Kg). This could lead to overloading of the trailer and cause poor handling or a tire failure.

Safety Risk:
Poor handling or a tire failure could cause a loss of control and result in a crash.

Corrective Actions:
A new compliance label will be mailed to each owner. Owners who would like help installing the label can contact a Forest River dealer.
