Transport Canada Recall - 2019295 - FIAT CHRYSLER AUTOMOBILES

Issue:
On certain vehicles, a problem with the airbag sensors could cause the airbag system not to properly detect certain types of crashes. This problem could result in the airbags not deploying properly in a crash. Note: This problem would cause the airbag warning light to stay on in the instrument cluster.

Safety Risk:
Airbags that do not deploy properly in a crash could increase the risk of injury.

Corrective Actions:
The company will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to replace the affected sensors. If your airbag warning light stays on, you should contact a local dealership and have your vehicle serviced immediately.
