Transport Canada Recall - 2019257 - FIAT CHRYSLER AUTOMOBILES

Issue:
On certain trucks, the daytime running lights do not turn on due to a software issue. Canadian regulations require vehicles to have working daytime running lights.
Note: This issue only affects trucks equipped with the Tradesman trim package, blind spot monitoring with rear cross path detection, and LED headlights.

Safety Risk:
Having no daytime running lights could make the truck less visible to other drivers and increase the risk of a crash.

Corrective Actions:
The company will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their truck to a dealer to update the central body controller with new software.
