Issue:
A build-up of pressure inside the fuel tank could cause gasoline to spray out when opening the fuel cap. Note: This situation is more likely to happen in hot weather conditions.
Safety Risk:
A fuel spray could create the risk of injury or a fire.
Corrective Actions:
The company will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their motorcycle to a dealer to update the fuel tank venting system. A warning label will also be put on the fuel tank.
