Issue:
One BMW X5 was produced without a vehicle identification number (VIN) label under the windshield. Canadian regulations require the VIN to be clearly visible from outside the vehicle.
Safety Risk:
This labelling error is unlikely to affect safety.
Corrective Actions:
BMW will notify the owner by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a dealer to install a VIN label.
