Issue
Issue:
A problem with the left-rear brake caliper on certain school buses may cause the brake pads to drag and overheat. This could cause damage to brake components and to the wheel speed sensor, and could result in the ABS warning light turning on.
Safety Risk:
In certain school districts, an active brake warning light requires a driver to park the bus immediately. This could result in the transfer of children to another bus in an uncontrolled environment.
Corrective Actions:
The company will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to an authorized repair facility to replace the left-rear brake caliper.
