Issue

Issue:
The passenger front door may not have been built correctly. This may cause the airbag sensors not to work properly. As a result, the side airbag and curtain shield airbag may not work properly in a crash. It may also cause the airbags to deploy suddenly without a crash.

Safety Risk:
Airbags that do not work properly in a crash or that deploy suddenly could create an increased risk of injuries.

Corrective Actions:
The company will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a dealership to replace the passenger front door sub-assembly with a new one.
