Issue
Over time, the wiring to the side airbag sensors in the front doors could corrode. This could cause the front seat-mounted side airbags and curtain shield airbags not to work properly. Note: This problem would cause the airbag warning light (SRS warning) to turn on.
Safety risk
Airbags that do not work properly in a crash could create an increased risk of injury.
Corrective actions
The company will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a dealer to replace the front door wire harness assemblies, as necessary.
