Transport Canada Recall - 2019132 -
Brand(s)
Summary
Affected products
2017 | LION | 360
Issue
Certain school buses were built without an audible warning for the emergency exits. This could cause a driver to be unaware that an emergency exit is locked. It also means that a driver would not hear a warning when an emergency exit is not properly closed and latched. Canadian regulations require an audible warning in all of these situations.
Safety risk
An exit that is locked could prevent passengers from leaving the bus in emergency. An emergency exit that is not properly closed and latched could open while driving. These problems could create a risk of injury.
Corrective actions
The company will notify all owners by mail. Owners will be sent a repair kit that includes an audible warning device and instructions for installing it.
