Issue
On certain buses equipped with a Ricon S-Series or K-Series titanium wheelchair lift, a lift sensor could fail. If this happens and the operator continues to press the "up" button, the platform could travel past the vehicle floor height. This could cause a lift occupant to be tipped inwards toward the vehicle.
Safety risk
If the lift tips inwards, the risk of injury would be increased.
Corrective actions
The company will notify owners by mail. Owners will be instructed to take their vehicle to a Ricon authorized dealer to perform repairs.
