Issue:
On certain motorcycles, the anti-lock braking system (ABS) may have been contaminated when it was made. This could cause the ABS to malfunction and could result in locking of the front or rear tire when the ABS is activated.
Safety Risk:
A wheel lock-up could cause a loss of stability and increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective Actions:
The company will notify owners by mail. Owners will be instructed to take their vehicle to a dealer for an inspection of the ABS hydraulic unit. If it was made within a specific time period, it will be replaced.
