Issue:
On certain vehicles, the bolts attaching the driveshaft universal joint may not be properly tightened. If the bolts come loose, the driveshaft could detach from the vehicle.
Safety Risk:
A driveshaft detaching could result in a loss of propulsion, which could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or property damage
Corrective Actions:
The company will notify owners by mail. Owners will be instructed to take their vehicle to a dealer to have the universal joint strap bolts inspected and tightened to the proper specification.
