Transport Canada Recall - 2018696 - BLUE BIRD

Certain buses may not comply with Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (CMVSS) 105 - Hydraulic and Electric Brake Systems. The parking brake may not engage, as the parking brake cable may dislodged from the foot pedal assembly. This could result in unintended vehicle movement if the vehicle’s transmission is not in the PARK gear position, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or property damage. Correction: Dealers will install a cable retention clip and a cable-end return spring to prevent the parking brake cable from disengaging from pedal and ensure it is properly adjusted.
