Issue
Certain vehicles may not comply with the requirements of Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (CMVSS) 126 - Electronic Stability Control Systems, and CMVSS 135 – Light Vehicle Brake Systems. During the wheelchair accessibility conversion process, the hydraulic brake lines may not have been routed correctly. This could affect braking performance and cause the Electronic Stability Control (ESC) system to create a vehicle instability. This could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will reroute the brake lines.
