Transport Canada Recall - 2017271 - FOREST RIVER

Certain travel trailers may not comply with Canadian Motor Vehicle Safety Regulations. The certification label may not contain the correct Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR) and Gross Vehicle Weight Ratings (GVWR). The label incorrectly indicates a GVWR of 13,680 lbs (6,205 kg) and GAWR of 6,840 lbs (3,103 kg), while it should instead show the GVWR as 12,000 lbs (5,443 kg) and the GAWR as 6,000 lbs (2,722 kg). This could lead to premature tire failure and vehicle overloading, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Forest River will send a revised certification label to current owners with instructions for proper placement.
