Issue

On certain vehicles, the driver’s door module could experience electrical faults resulting a loss of switch function, erratic switch behaviour (such as power windows lowering and/or raising without driver input) or an electrical short circuit, potentially resulting in a vehicle fire. These issues could occur even when the ignition key is removed and could increase the risk of injury and/or property damage. Correction: Dealers will install a new driver’s door switch module. In the interim, owners should park their vehicle outdoors. Note: This recall is an expansion of recall 2014-279.
