Issue
On certain motor homes, the rear jack plates can rub against the tag axle brake air hoses. This may create an air leak when the operator depresses the brake pedal and there is pressure available in the primary reservoir. Air will continue to leak from the brake hose as long as the operator is depressing the brake pedal and there is pressure available in the primary reservoir. This would reduce braking effectiveness for both the drive axle and tag axle, and may increase stopping distances. If the air pressure in primary reservoir falls below 65 psi, the low air warning light and buzzer will alarm the operator. Correction: Dealers will rotate the fitting to re-route the air hose, and inspect the hoses for signs of rubbing and replace as necessary.
