On certain vehicles, the left-rear or right-rear parking brake cable brackets may not have been properly fastened during the assembly process. If the fastening bolts backed out completely, the parking brake bracket would separate causing the parking brake to fail. If this were to occur, the vehicle could roll away, which could result in a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect the left-rear and right-rear parking brake bracket bolts and, if necessary, tighten the bolts to the correct torque specification.
