Issue
On certain emergency response chassis cabs equipped with a transmission retarder, the transmission fluid cooler may fail, allowing engine coolant to mix with transmission fluid. This could result in the transmission to not shift into certain ranges, or could lock into a range where upshifting may be restricted, which could increase the risk of a vehicle crash causing injury and/or property damage. Correction: Dealers will replace the transmission cooler.
