Transport Canada Recall - 2012437 - SPARTAN

On certain vehicles, the outside diameter of the windshield wiper pivot shaft is smaller than the inside diameter of the wiper arm. As a result, the wiper pivot shaft could spin in the wiper arm, rendering the windshield wipers inoperable. Loss of windshield wiping capability, should it occur during a rainy/snowy day, may compromise the driver’s ability to see the road and its users, which could result in a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will replace the windshield wiper shaft assembly.
