Issue
On certain school buses equipped with an I-6 engine, the high pressure engine oil line (between the cylinder head and the high pressure pump) may fail. This would cause an engine oil leak, which could result in sudden engine shut down. Lost vehicle propulsion, in conjunction with traffic and road condition, and the driver’s reactions, could increase the risk of a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. In addition, oil may contact a hot engine or exhaust component, which could result in a fire. Correction: Dealers will replace the high pressure engine oil line.
