Issue
Certain vehicles fail to meet the service brake release requirements of Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 121 - Air Brake Systems. The quick release air valve (in the gladhand connection) may have inadvertently been omitted during vehicle assembly. This could allow the service brake release timing to slightly exceed the threshold established in the Standard, which could result in less efficient braking performance. Correction: Dealers will install a quick release air valve.
