Traeger Pellet Grills

Product description

This recall involves Traeger Pellet Grills with the following model numbers:

  • BBQ055 - aka. Traeger Junior Grill
  • BBQ070 - aka. Traeger Lil'Tex
  • BBQ07E - aka. Lil' Tex Elite
  • BBQ075 - aka. Texas
  • BBQ300 - aka. Traeger Deluxe.

These are pellet BBQ grills used for grilling and cooking food. They are black in colour and have a round barrel shaped body. Model numbers BBQ070, BBQ07E and BBQ075 have a chimney which extends from the right side of the grill as you are facing it from the front. Model number BBQ300 is also black in colour with stainless steel trim, cabinet doors beneath the cooking area and one stainless steel shelf on each side of the main body.

Hazard identified

The affected products have not been tested to determine whether they are compliant with the Canadian Standards for product safety and may pose a hazard.

Neither Traeger nor Health Canada has received any reports of incidents or injuries to Canadians related to the use of these grills.

Number sold

Approximately 4,000 units of the affected grills were sold at various stores across Canada.

Time period sold

The affected products were sold from May 2005 to April 2011.

Place of origin

Manufactured in China.

What you should do

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled products immediately and contact Traeger Canada East. Traeger Canada East will arrange for a product inspection by an authorized third party free of charge.
