Light Up Magic Wand is a Fuchsia colored Light-Up Magic Wand topped with a star that flashes and makes noise. It contains 3 button cell batteries.

Toysmith has discontinued the product and will not be fixing the issue in this particular product, so this product will not be available for future purchase.

Hazard identified

The battery cover can detach and expose the button-cell batteries posing a choking and ingestion hazard to young children.

As of Dec 5, 2019, the company has received no report of incidents or injuries in Canada. In the United States, the company has received one (1) report of batteries coming out of the product and one (1) report of injury.

Number sold

Approximately 312 units of the affected product were sold in Canada and approximately 57,792   were sold in the United States.

Time period sold

The affected products were sold from June 2018 to October 2019.

What you should do

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled magic wands, place them out of the reach of children and return the wand to the store of purchase for a full refund.

Toysmith has discontinued the product and will not be fixing the issue in this particular product, so this product should not be available for future purchase.
