Product description
This recall involves 2013 Toro TimeMaster 76-centimetre (30-inch) and TurfMaster 76-centimetre (30-inch) lawn mowers. The phrases “TimeMaster” or “TurfMaster” and “Toro” are printed on the front of the black and red mower. “Toro” is also printed on the side of the mower. The model and serial numbers are located on a decal affixed to the engine base above the left rear tire.

Hazard identified
The mower’s blade can break, posing a laceration hazard to the user and others nearby.
Toro has received ten reports of the blades breaking, including three of which occurred in Canada. No injuries have been reported.
Health Canada has not received any reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of these mowers.
Number sold
Approximately 1,594 units of the recalled mowers have been sold in Canada and approximately 34,500 in the United States at Toro dealers nationwide.
Time period sold
The affected mowers were sold from January 2013 through October 2013 in Canada and from November 2012 through October 2013 the United States.
Place of origin
Manufactured in Mexico.

What you should do
Consumers should stop using the mower immediately and contact an authorized Toro service dealer for repair.
To locate an authorized Toro service dealer, consumers may call Toro toll-free at 1-855-340-7686 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. CST Monday through Friday or visit the firm’s website.
Consumers may view the release by the US CPSC on the Commission’s website.
