Product description

This recall involves "Tone" Finger-ease Guitar String Lubricant by distributed by Jam Industries. The lubricant comes in a 71-gram pressurized aerosol container with a white and red label and a black cap. It is identifiable by the UPC 786141220223.

Hazard identified

An inspection by Health Canada has determined that the recalled product does not meet the hazard symbols and bilingual labelling requirements for consumer chemical products under Canadian law.

The product lacks the appropriate English and French warnings along with hazard symbols required for flammable products. In addition, the current hazard labelling is not positioned or sized properly according to the Regulations. These omissions could present a significant risk that may result in serious injuries.

Neither Jam Industries nor Health Canada has received any reports of illnesses or injuries related to the use of these products.

Approximately 31,274 of the affected products were sold at various retailers across Canada.

The affected products were sold from Jan 2000 to May 2011.
