Product description
This recall involves the Lamaze Brand Munching Max toy with model number L27578 and UPC 796714275789. This toy is a brightly coloured chipmunk with multiple textures, crinkles and satin ribbons. The toy is attached to an on-the-go clip, which when pulled causes the toy to vibrate and feeds on an acorn.
Hazard identified
The toy may break and produce a sharp point from an internal plastic component, posing a risk of cut or laceration hazard to young children.
As of June 21st, 2017, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada. In the United States, the company has received one report of an injury to a child that resulted in a cut to the finger.

Approximately 4,690 units of the affected products were sold in Canada, and approximately 9,300 were sold in the United States.

The recalled toy was sold from June 2016 to July 2017.

What you should do
Consumers should immediately take the recalled toy away from children and contact TOMY for a replacement toy from a list of comparable toys, and an online TOMY store coupon.
