A technical investigation has confirmed that salmonella colonies recovered on Thermo Scientific Oxoid Brilliance Salmonella Agar Base, CM1092B Lot 1791228 may appear darker in colour than normal. Recovery rates are unaffected.

Typically salmonella spp. growing on CM1092 appears as pink/purple colonies. For this lot of medium the colonies are consistently purple.
