Product description
This recall involves the Testarossa professional hair dryer identified by model TST65C and UPC code 068459 060419.
The model number can be found near the certification label on the handle of the hair dryer. The date code can be found on the plug prong and those included in this recall are: 0511YL, 0611YL, 0711YL and 1111YL.
Hazard identified
The cracking or failure of the screw boss may result in small plastic or metal coming loose and potentially ejecting from the dryer during usage.
Neither Conair nor Health Canada has received any reports of incidents or injuries to Canadians related to the use of these hair dryers.
Number sold
Approximately 50,000 units of the affected hair dryers were sold at Costco stores across Canada.
Time period sold
The affected hair dryers were sold from July 2011 to March 2012.
Place of origin
Manufactured in China.
