This recall involves black leather upper, 5-inch high TAURUS branded safety shoes and style number 5001.The shoe has a white rectangle Omega logo and the shoe tongue has a green CSA triangle logo. The style number is located on the product's packaging.
Hazard identified
The steel plate used in the manufacturing of the product is not certified to the CSA standards indicated by the tagging on the shoe, posing a potential impact hazard.
As of May 19, 2020, the company has received no reports of injury in Canada.
Number sold
Approximately 1945 units of the affected product were sold in Canada.
