Product description

This recall involves the Targus Travel Power Strip identified by model number APS03US1-50.

Hazard identified

The affected power strips have not been tested to determine whether they are compliant with the Canadian Standards for product safety and may pose a safety hazard.

Neither Targus Canada Ltd. nor Health Canada has received reports of incidents or injuries to Canadians related to the use of these products.

Number sold

Approximately 2,297 units of the affected power strips were sold by various retailers across Canada including Dell, London Drugs, HDS Retail, Grand and Toy and Ingram Micro.

Time period sold

The affected products were sold from November 2010 to February 2012.

Place of origin

Manufactured in China.

What you should do

Consumers should immediately stop using the power strip and return the product to the retailer where it was purchased for a refund.
