Product description
This recall involves Room Essentials 4-drawer dressers sold in three colors. The dressers measure 106.4 cm (41 7/8 inches) tall by 80 cm (31 ½ inches) wide by 40 cm (15 11/16 inches) deep. The model numbers are:
- 10046029 (black);
- 10046030 (espresso); and
- 10220352 (maple).
The model numbers are printed on the product’s packaging.
Hazard identified
The recalled dressers can tip-over if not securely anchored to the wall, posing a tip-over and entrapment hazard that can result in death or serious injuries to children.
As of September 13, 2017, the company has received no reports of tipping or collapsing in Canada, and no reports of injuries. In the United States, the company has received 12 reports of dressers tipping or collapsing, and no reports of injuries.
Number sold
Approximately 3,000 units of the affected products were sold in Canada and approximately 175,000 were sold in the United States.
Time period sold
The dressers were sold from March 2013 through April 2015 at Target stores in Canada and from January 2013 through April 2016 in the United States.
Place of origin
Manufactured in Denmark.

What you should do
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled dresser that is not properly anchored to the wall and place it into an area that children cannot access. Consumers should dispose the product in a safe manner.
Consumers may view the release by the US CPSC on the Commission's website.
Please note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada.
