Product description

This recall involves the Take Along Thomas & Friends™ Neville Die Cast Metal Engine. The body of the toy is black and is in the shape of a train.

The recalled toy can be identified by item number LC76051 and UPC 96714776051 with a tracking code of 0568WY00. The tracking code can be found on the product packaging and on the bottom of the toy.

Only Neville Die Cast Metal Engines with tracking code 0568WY00 are included in this recall.

Hazard identified

Testing by Health Canada of the Neville toy with tracking code 0568WY00 revealed that a small component may break off from the toy when dropped. The small component may pose a choking hazard to young children under 3 years of age.

Health Canada has not received any reports of injuries or incidents related to the use of this product.

Number sold

Approximately 1,002 units of the recalled Neville Die Cast Metal Engine have been sold at Toys R Us stores across Canada.

Time period sold

The recalled products were sold from June 2008 to July 2009.

Place of origin

Manufactured in China.

What you should do

Consumers should immediately take the recalled toy away from children and dispose of this item. Each Canadian consumer with a recalled item who contacts RC2 will receive a replacement die-cast metal engine toy.
