Product description

This recall involves two TAG brand models of rashguards for girls. The model numbers of the recalled products are TVG1011ATC and TGV7011ATC. The recalled rashguards have ruffles on the shoulders, a zipper on the back and snaps along the inseam. They are available in three designs:

  • Solid pink with an elephant motif on the chest;
  • White with a Lagoon theme (5 colours);
  • Pale pink with dark pink designs.

The products are made of 83% Nylon and 17% spandex.

The sizes associated with the model numbers of the recalled rashguards are as follows:

Hazard identified

The snaps at the bottom may come off the garment, which presents a choking hazard.

As of August 16, 2021, approximately 10 incidents where the snaps have come off the garment have been reported to the company. No choking has been reported.

Number sold

Approximately 2,104 units of the affected product were sold in Canada.

Time period sold

The affected products were sold from October 2019 to August 2021.

What you should do

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled garments and return them to an Aubainerie store for a refund.
