leica microsystems received one complaint (May 2021) pertaining to the M220 F12 surgical microscope system stating that the optics carrier fell down during the surgical procedure. The issue was found to be related to a loose screw in the swing arm of the M220 F12 which is holding the optics carrier in place. Based upon this knowledge and a previous recall for the same issue this recall was opened.
