Product description
This recall involves certain battery separators sold under the brand Sure Power. These products are designed for use in a multi-battery application. Typically, the battery separator provides for additional battery power for operating accessories that have been added to a vehicle.

Hazard identified
The internal circuit board capacitor of the recalled battery separators can fail and lead to overheating, smoke, or fire during or after use, resulting in property damage or personal injury.

Approximately 4,009 of the recalled products are affected in Canada.

The battery separators were manufactured and sold to distributors from February 2009 to June 2011.
