Product description

This recall involves Souvenir Canada Furry Friends Plush Toys.  The plush toys are available in three different styles:  moose, bear and beaver.  A red maple leaf and "Canada" are embroidered on their feet.

The plush toys can be identified by the following item and UPC numbers:

Hazard identified

Health Canada's sampling and evaluation program has determined that these plush toys do not meet the Canadian safety requirements for toys.  The hard plastic eyes on the plush toy can detach, posing a choking hazard to young children.

Neither Health Canada nor Suraj Enterprises has received any reports of consumer incidents or injuries related to the use of these plush toys in Canada.

Number sold

Approximately 2,265 units of the recalled plush toys were sold in Canada at various stores.

Time period sold

The recalled plush toys were sold from June 2013 to November 2016.

Manufactured in China.

What you should do

Consumers should immediately take the recalled plush toys away from children and discard in regular household waste or return to place of purchase.
