Reason
The ratchet keeping the half bed rail in the upper position can sometimes, if not long enough, disengage in certain situations. In such cases, the half bed rail will slip into the lower position, possibly causing patients to lose their balance when leaning on the half bed rail, causing a risk of falls and therefore of injury.
