Product description
This recall involves a soft stuffed snowman toy by Santa's Secrets. The snowman has a blue hat and scarf, both with tinsel trim. The snowman has hard black eyes and a metal bell attached to its arm. It measures 42 cm (16.5 inches) in height. The product is identified by item number A9 88394 and UPC number 060107883944.
Hazard identified
Testing by Health Canada has revealed that the eyes and bell can detach; these small parts pose a choking a hazard to young children.
Health Canada has not received any reports of incidents or injuries to Canadians related to the use of this toy.
Number sold
Approximately 1,416 of the recalled snowman toys were sold at various dollar and discount stores across Canada.
Time period sold
The recalled snowman toys were sold from September 2008 to December 2008.
