Product description
This recall involves 14 Gauge 3 Wire SJTW string lights. The lights have a 15.24 metre (50 feet) long cord with 5 plastic cages and are identified by Princess Auto part number 8196628 or manufacturing number MQ6076, DL999-5-14/3.
Hazard identified
It has been determined that the identified products are not authorized to bear the Underwriters Laboratories (UL) mark.
Neither Princess Auto nor Health Canada is aware of any reports of incidents or injuries to Canadians related to the use of these string lights.
Number sold
Approximately 2,691 of the recalled string lights were sold at Princess Auto stores across Canada.
Time period sold
The recalled string lights were sold from January 2010 to December 2011.
Place of origin
Manufactured in China.

What you should do
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled string lights. The item can be returned for full refund with bill of sale or last sale price on in store credit without bill of sale; or where stock is available the item may be exchanged.
