Joint recall with Health Canada, the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (US CPSC) and Stanley Black & Decker Canada Corp.
Porter-Cable Hammer Drills and Black & Decker Drill/Drivers
This recall involves certain models of Porter-Cable hammer drills and Black & Decker Drill/Drivers sold in Canada. The products are sold with a black side handle that attaches to the front of the drill.

The side handle supplied with the drill may slip when the drill is in use and lead to loss of control, posing a risk of injury.
As of October 23, 2018 the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada. In the United States, the company has received 1 report of injury.
Approximately 18,194 units of the Porter-Cable-brand and Black & Decker-brand products were sold in Canada.
