Reason

The suspect burs have a dimensional defect on the latch area, which prevents the dental handpiece from latching onto the bur. This could result in a bur dislodging from the handpiece. Abrasive technology determined the cause on 2/22/2018, issued a recall on 3/12/2018, and was learned of distribution in Canada on 8/1/2018.
