Hazard identified

The front fork steerer tube can break, posing a fall hazard.

Neither Health Canada nor Specialized has received any reports of incidents or injuries to Canadians related to the use of these bicycles.

Number sold

Approximately 1,415 of the recalled bicycles were sold in Canada.

Time period sold

The recalled bicycles were sold from August 2007 to August 2012.

Place of origin

Manufactured in China.

What you should do

Consumers should immediately stop riding the affected bicycles and return the bicycle to an authorized Specialized retailer for free replacement fork.
