Hazard identified
Health Canada has established that these products do not meet flammability requirements for children's sleepwear under Canadian law.
Loose-fitting children's sleepwear can get in contact with stove elements, candles, and matches more readily and once ignited, will burn rapidly, potentially resulting in severe burns to large areas of the child's body.
Health Canada has not received any reports of injuries or incidents related to the use of these children's sleepwear items.
Number sold
Approximately 2,952 of the recalled products were sold at Souris Mini Stores in Quebec.
Time period sold
The recalled children's sleepwear was sold from September 2008 to November 2008.
