Product description
This recall involves the small Stratton pendant light fixture, by Tech Lighting, a division of Generation Brands. The Stratton pendant is a suspended light fixture that can be used for both consumer and commercial applications. The affected pendant is the small size pendant (23.4 cm (9.2 in.) wide) with clear or smoke glass shade.
Hazard identified
The glass pendant may detach from the fixture, posing an impact injury.
As of May 1, 2019, the company has received no reports of incidents in Canada. In the United States, the company has received one report of the glass pendant detaching from the fixture and falling on a bystander resulting in an injury.
Number sold
Approximately 30 units of the affected product were sold in Canada and approximately 1,035 were sold in the United States.
Time period sold
The affected products were sold from January, 2013 to December, 2018.

What you should do
Consumers should immediately contact Tech Lighting to obtain a free repair kit. Consumers will need to schedule installation by a qualified technician, and Tech Lighting will reimburse the consumer for the installation. Consumers should prevent people from going into the immediate area under the fixture until repaired.
