Product description
This recall involves plaid multicoloured children's pyjama lounge pants sold under the brand name "Sleeping Bag" by Effigi Inc. The sleepwear is made of 100% polyester and available in sizes 8-14X.
The sleepwear can be identified by the style number 500546411, lot number 150873 and the marking CA 13583, found on the hang tag on the inside of the sleepwear.
Hazard identified
The recalled sleepwear does not meet the design and flammability requirements for children's sleepwear under Canadian law.
Children's sleepwear that is loose fitting or that has loose edges can contact ignition sources such as stove elements, candles, and matches more easily than tight-fitting sleepwear. Once ignited the sleepwear can burn rapidly and cause severe burns to large areas of the child's body, resulting in shock and sometimes death.
Neither Health Canada nor Effigi Inc. has received reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of these pyjama pants.

Approximately 2,254 units of the recalled products were sold exclusively at L'Aubainerie stores in Quebec.
Time period sold
The recalled products were sold from August 2009 to October 2010.
