Product description
This recall involves Seymour Custom Solvent Blend and Water Blend aerosol products. The recalled products can be identified by the following descriptions and item numbers:
- Seymour Custom Solvent Blend comes in a spray container with a fill weight of 156 g (5.5 oz.), and can be identified by the item number 16-2395 and the UPC 043281003698.
- Seymour Custom Water Blend comes in a spray container with a fill weight of 255 g (9 oz.), and can be identified by the item number 16-2393 and the UPC 043281003681.
Hazard identified
Health Canada has established that these products do not meet the mandatory warning labeling requirements, as required under Canadian law.
This lack of labeling information, including the hazard symbol for pressurized containers, may lead to serious injury.
Neither Health Canada nor Seymour of Sycamore Inc. has received any reports of incidents or injuries to Canadians related to the use of these products.
Number sold
Approximately 16,000 of the recalled products were sold at various paint and decorating stores across Canada.
Time period sold
The recalled products were sold from May 2008 to January 2010.
